Jumbangla Desk: Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, 'We have seen the consequences of sitting in power and becoming the owner of the country. We all have to learn from the consequences of betraying the nation.'

He said, "If we receive education, no dictatorship will be born in the future."

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the meeting with the families of the martyrs in the anti-discrimination student movement at Gazipur Rajbari Ground today.

He said, we don't want to see a terrorist government that dares to throw bullets bought with people's money into people's chests. We want to establish a welfare state without discrimination and exploitation. For this, 18 crore people have to be united. We will not allow the nation to be divided on the basis of party or religion. It is his own choice who will follow which religion or which party.

Stating that everyone should be united for the sake of the country and the people, Shafiqur Rahman further said that it should be conveyed to the country and abroad that there is no division between us for the sake of the country and the nation. No one can suppress such a united nation.

Gazipur Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Professor Mohammad Jamal Uddin and Metropolitan Secretary Abu Saeed Mohammad Farooq presided over the gathering as special guests. Principal Muhammad Izzat Ullah, Member of the Central Executive Council of the party, Member of the Dhaka North Region Team and former Amir of Gazipur District Abul Hashem Khan, Central Working Council spoke as special guests. Member Dr. Khalilur Rahman Madani, Amir of District Jamaat Dr. Jahangir Alam, Deputy Amir of Mahanagar Jamaat Md. Khairul Hasan, Metropolitan Assistant Secretary Md. Hossain Ali, Md. Afzal Hossain, former president of Shibir and Publicity Secretary of Gazipur Mahanagar Jamaat Salah Uddin Ayubi and Metropolitan President Md. Abu Hanif.
