Jumbangla Desk: The prices of everyday products are increasing every day due to various factors in the markets of the capital. Meanwhile, the government fixed the price of chicken and eggs on September 15. But it is not reflected in the market. Broiler chicken, beef are being sold at the same price as before. The lower class and lower middle class are in extreme trouble. No good news for vegetables. Also, various types of vegetables are being sold at high prices.

Egg o Sobje

On Friday (October 4), several markets including Karwan Bazar, Newmarket and Hatirpool in the capital were seen.

On the surface, it has been seen that per kg eggplant is being sold at Tk 100 to 140, bitter gourd at Tk 70 to Tk. Apart from this, papaya 30, kankarol 80, carrot 120, kachurmukhi 80 to 90 taka, tomato 160, beans 220-260 taka and cucumber 60 to 80 taka per kg are being sold. Besides, per kg chichinga 60, per piece cauliflower 60 to 70, per kg potato 55 to 60 and per piece gourd 70 to 80 taka.

On the other hand, broiler chicken is being sold at Tk 200 per kg But last week also broiler chicken was sold at the rate of 190 taka per kg. Also, the meat market is charging Rs 750 per kg of beef

Onion prices in the country have come down slightly after India eased conditions and reduced tariffs on onion exports. Onions which used to be sold at Tk 120 per kg are now being sold at Tk 110 to 115.

However, traders claim that the crop fields have been destroyed recently due to floods and heavy rains. Due to the low supply in the market, the price of vegetables has increased.

Consumers are disappointed with such prices of daily necessities in the market. They say the government has changed, but the market syndicate remains the same. And the consumer's pocket is held hostage by the syndicate. There is no escape from this situation!
