2 Jubo League leaders arrested in Raihan murder case in Sylhet

Jumbangla Desk : Raihan Uddin (18) was shot dead while celebrating the victory festival in Sylhet's Biyanibazar upazila after the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government. Police arrested two Jubo League leaders in Raihan murder case.

They were arrested from separate places in the upazila on Friday (October 4) evening .

The two arrested are Saiful Islam Rokon, son of deceased Ishaq Ali and Jubo League leader of Ghungadia village of Muria union of the upazila and Kalim Uddin, son of Abdur Rauf and Jubo League leader of Jaldhup Pariabahar village of Lauta union of the upazila.

It has been reported that three youths were killed and at least 10 injured in the vandalism, arson and attack on Biyanibazar police station on August 5. One of the victims is Raihan Uddin (18). He is from Telikandi village of Sarail police station in Brakshanbaria district. Son of Farooq Uddin. He lived in a rented house in Nayagram of Biyanibazar Municipality. The burial was then carried out without an autopsy. Raihan Uddin's brother Burhan Uddin on August 26 named 30 people including former Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and accused 70-80 unknown people in Biyanibazar police station.

OC of Bianibazar Police Station. Enamul Haque Chowdhury. He said that two people named Saiful Islam Rokon and Kalim Uddin have been arrested. Both of them are accused in the case filed by his brother Burhan Uddin in the case of Raihan Uddin's death on August 5. Police operations are continuing to arrest the accused in all the cases.
