Jumbangla Desk: Sabbir Hossain was martyred by taking part in the anti-discrimination student movement in Dhaka. He was the sole earner of his low class family. Old parents are now helpless and disoriented after losing their son. There is no son, but the mother is making the bed. Details from the bus report-

Sabbir Hossain is a resident of Mirzapur village in Shailkupa upazila of Jhenaidah. It is a shady village. Farmer Amod Ali is a resident of this village. His wife is Rashida Khatun. Sabbir Hossain (23) is the eldest among their three children. Second child Sumaiya Khatun studies in local DM college. Younger son Sadiq Hossain studies in local madrasa.

Went to Sabbir's living room and saw that the bed was made as before. His used clothes are hanging on the rack. Mother Rashida Khatun kept moving the things used by her dead son and moaning about the memories. While reminiscing, he tearfully said that Sabbir was very interested in buying a motorcycle. Often asked to buy. I used to explain to him, marry the sister first. How many cows have I fed? I will sell them and settle my daughter's wedding expenses and then buy your motorcycle. The day before the incident, Sabbir's mobile was called after evening. The family took all the good and bad news. He said he would send the money if he got paid. Sabbir's father is old.

He can't work now. As the eldest son of the family, Sabbir took charge of the family. The entire family is now helpless and disoriented due to Sabbir's death. Father Amod Ali told Bangladesh news agency BASS that Sabbir did not progress much in his studies. A local Amena Khatun studied in secondary school for several years. Then he was admitted to a local madrasah. There he is 10 para Hafez in the Qur'an. The neighborhood ends here. Then life in Boundule. However, Sabbir was philanthropic since childhood, he said.

Sabbir went to Dhaka six or seven years ago and started working as a tile mason. He was sitting on pills for a couple of months. After that he went to Dhaka again and started working in an organization called Organ Limited Care in Sector 13 of Uttara.

That day was July 18. In Uttara , fierce clashes and shootings were going on between the anti-discrimination student crowd and the brutal forces of the dictatorship . He also participated in this movement. Around 4:30 PM, Sabbir was standing in front of a drug store and observing the situation. At this time, he was suddenly shot and fell down. Fellow soldiers took him to a nearby hospital where doctors on duty declared him brought dead. His body reached his village early the next day on July 19. Sabbir's body was buried at the family graveyard around 10 am.

Anichur Rahman, coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement Jhenaidah, said that the family is being taken care of regularly on their behalf. Their required information has already been sent to the appropriate authorities.

Daughter should be married. But there is no money supply. Sabbir's parents are worried about this. Besides, they are also worried about how to meet the financial needs of the family including the cost of their children's education. So they asked the government for financial assistance. They also want to see the trial of infanticide in their lifetime. And the government should build a mosque next to their house. Where the locals can sit and pray to Almighty Allah for their son. This is what Sabbir's parents want.
