Chandpur has received the highest rainfall in the country in the last 24 hours. There has been 240 mm of rain. And the maximum rain in Dhaka in the last 24 hours is 69 mm.

Rain may occur at many places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal and Sylhet divisions and at many places in Rangpur, Khulna and Chittagong divisions.

Meteorologist Afroza Islam told Prothom Alo this morning that rain is mainly due to low pressure. There may be more or less rain in different parts of the country for the next week. Rain may reduce in the capital after afternoon.

Since the first day of this month, it has been raining more or less all over the country. These rains are triggered by deep moving clouds and monsoon winds over the Bay of Bengal. After that, low pressure is created.

The Meteorological Department releases a long-range weather forecast at the beginning of every month. According to the forecast for the month of October, there will be more rain than normal in this month. Last September saw 33 percent more rain than normal and August 46 percent more than normal.
