An unprecedented incident took place in the secretariat building of Maharashtra, India. According to the NDTV report, several people, including Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly and NCP MLA Narhari Jirwal, BJP tribal member of parliament Hemant Savra and MLA Kiran Lahamate jumped from the third floor of the secretariat.

According to details of the incident, they committed such an act on Friday (October 4) to protest against the inclusion of the Dhangar community in the Scheduled Tribes (ST) of Maharashtra state.

According to reports, the Eknath Shinde government has decided to include the Dhangar group in the ST community after giving importance to the votes of the Dhangar community in the wake of the assembly elections. Members of Parliament and MLAs from the tribal community protested this decision.
