Jumbangla Desk: Chandpur has recorded 277 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours under the influence of active monsoon. The rain that started on Friday (October 4) night is still ongoing.

Various upazilas including Chandpur city have been submerged due to rain. Especially Nazir Para, Mission Road Ashram Area, Professor Para, Momin Para, Guakhola, Chitralekha Mor, Palpara, Alim Para, Adalat Para, Rahmatpur Residential Area, Gazi Road, Madrasa Road are under water in the city. Due to the ingress of water into the homes of these areas, extreme suffering has been caused.
