Jumbangla Desk: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in five divisions including the capital Dhaka within the next 24 hours. The agency also said that there is a risk of landslides in the hilly areas of Chittagong division as a result of heavy rains.

Saturday (October 5) meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department. This information was given in the warning of heavy rain given by Hafizur Rahman.

According to the Meteorological Office, there may be heavy to very heavy rainfall in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours from 9 am today.

Due to heavy rainfall, there is a risk of landslides in some parts of hilly areas of Chittagong Division.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain with gusty winds and thunder in 18 regions of the country by 1 pm today. Along with this, the river ports of these regions have also been asked to show warning signs.


These areas include - Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet areas from south/southwest direction. Showers/Thundershowers with gusty/gusty winds of 45-60 kmph.
