Entertainment Desk: Sohel Rana, the living legend of Dhaka film, has announced the formation of a new political party. The name of the party is Bangladesh Insaf Party; This hero said that it will be known as 'Bangladesh Justice Party' in English.

After the meeting held at a hotel in the capital Dhaka, the formation of the team was announced under the chairmanship of this veteran actor. The 51-member committee of the new party will be announced by the end of this month or in the first week of November. The dove symbol of peace has been declared as the official symbol of the party.

During his student life, Sohel Rana was the president of the college Chhatra League while studying at Anandmohan College in Mymensingh. He was elected General Secretary of Greater Mymensingh Chhatra League in 1965, Assistant General Secretary of East Pakistan Chhatra League in 1966 and Member of Executive Committee of East Pakistan Chhatra League in 1968.

After the independence of the country i.e. in 1972 while studying in Dhaka University, Sohel Rana was elected VP of Iqbal Hall. In 2009, he joined the Jatiya Party by becoming a member of the Presidium of the Jatiya Party and was appointed as an election advisor to the Chairman of the Jatiya Party and former President Hussain Muhammad Ershad.

Veteran and acclaimed silver screen actor Sohail Rana entered the country's film industry in 1971, soon after independence, by establishing Parvez Films as a producer. Under the banner of this production company, the late filmmaker Chashi Nazrul Islam produced Bangladesh's first full-length film 'Ora 11 Jan' based on the Liberation War. It was released in 1972.
