Here is the recipe –

Ingredients:

Big hilsa fish 6-8 pieces

5-6 chopped green chillies

Mustard oil 3 tbsp

Salt in moderation

A little turmeric powder

Half a cup of finely chopped onion

Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

6 bay leaves

Half a kg of rice

Method:

First, wash the rice and soak it for half an hour. Mix the rest of the ingredients (except the leaves) together with the hilsa fish and keep it for 30 minutes. Place a piece of battered fish on the leaf and fold the leaf upside down so that it does not open. In this way, prepare all the fish wrapped in leaves.


Now put the rice with one and a half times boiling water. When the rice is cooked as usual, remove some rice from the middle of the pot and keep the fish pieces wrapped in laupata. Cover with a lid with the rice set aside and keep it on a low flame. Leave it like this for 10 minutes.
