Jum-Bangla Desk: Siratunnabi Sa: Mahfil was held yesterday in Suhrawardy Udyan of the capital. Apart from the capital city, thousands of Prophet lovers from different districts of the country participated in the mahfil. Ignoring the rain and mud, they enjoyed the event for hours.

Enchanting performances by various artist groups add a new dimension to the festival. Speakers at the ceremony said that no philosophy other than Islam can continue in Muslim-majority Bangladesh. Happiness and peace can return to the country only by following the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW. There is no alternative to Islam for a corruption-free and justice-based state. And to establish this system, all the Islamic parties of the country must be united.
