Due to incessant rains many parts of the country are submerged under water and there is also fear of floods. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in some parts of the country for the next three days.

According to the weather forecast, the low pressure over North Bay of Bengal and adjacent coastal areas of Bangladesh-West Bengal has become insignificant and has converged with the monsoon axis. The extension of monsoon axis extends over Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay of Bengal. On this day (October 5) from 6 pm in the next 24 hours in most places of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; Many places of Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions and some places of Rangpur, Khulna and Barisal divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or thundershowers. Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Day and night may increase slightly across the country.

The weather forecast for Sunday (October 6) says that in the next 24 hours from 6 pm, there will be light to moderate gusty winds at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, some places in Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions and two places in Chittagong division. There may be rain or thundershowers. Also, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day and night may increase slightly across the country.

The weather forecast for Monday (October 7) says that during the next 24 hours from 6 pm on this day, there will be light to moderate gusty winds at many places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and one or two places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. There may be rain or thundershowers. Also, there may be moderate heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day and night may increase slightly across the country.

The Meteorological Office has also said that the trend of rainfall may decrease during the extended 5 days.
