Jumbangla Desk: The extension of the axis of monsoon is extending through Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay of Bengal. As a result, the rains do not stop immediately due to the low pressure created in the North Bay of Bengal. The Met Office has predicted rain in the next 24 hours.
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in all parts of the country in the next 24 hours after 9 am on Sunday (October 6) .
According to the notification, light to moderate rain with gusty wind or thunder may occur temporarily in most places of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, many places of Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions and some places of Rangpur, Khulna and Barisal divisions. Along with this, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at some places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
It is also noted that day and night temperatures may increase slightly across the country.
Rain is also likely on Monday (October 7). That day from 9 am in the next 24 hours in many places of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; Some places of Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions and one or two places of Chittagong division may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds temporarily. Also, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. It has also been reported that day and night temperatures may increase slightly across the country.
In Mymensingh, 80 villages of two upazilas are flooded, millions of people are trapped in water
