Arrested Abu Mucha alias Killer Mucha (42) son of deceased Sanwar Hossain of Dattabari area of Ward No. 8 of Sirajganj Municipality. Abul Kalam said that on August 4, a group of terrorists openly raised their weapons and fired at the protesting students in Sirajganj Sadar demanding the fall of the government. Several casualties occurred. In this incident, 3 murder cases were registered at Sirajganj Sadar Police Station. In this, RAB's activities continued to arrest those involved in the incident including the accused in the case.
On Saturday evening, RAB received information that Abu Mucha, the accused in the murder cases, was staying at Kalatali Point of Cox's Bazar beach. Later a team raided and arrested him.
He said that the arrested accused openly raised his weapon during interrogation and confessed to shooting at the students. He is accused of being involved in various crimes including land grabbing, extortion and tender bidding in Sirajganj municipal area by showing fear of weapons and power. Additional Superintendent of Police said that the arrested person has been handed over to the police of Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station. Abul Kalam Chowdhury.
