The bodies of two missing brothers were found floating in the water stream in the paddy field

Jumbangla Desk: The bodies of two brothers who were missing after being swept away by the water stream were recovered from Dhankhet in Sherpur . The deceased are Hatim Ali (30) and Alamgir (16). They are sons of Bachir Uddin of Abhaypur village of Nanni Union.

The incident took place in Kutubakura village of Nanni union of Nalitabari upazila on Saturday (October 5) night. Earlier on last Friday afternoon, they went missing in the flow of water that broke the Chellakhali river dam and entered the locality.

Nalitabari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Chanwar Hossain confirmed the matter. He said that the police went and recovered the body from Dhankhet. Later, the bodies of the two brothers were handed over to their families.


Incidentally, two brothers, Hatim and Alamgir, went missing while going to a safe shelter to escape from the current of water last Friday afternoon. Later on Saturday, as the water receded a little, the local people found their bodies in the Dhankhe of the neighboring Kutubakura village in the evening. After receiving the news, the police recovered the body that night.
