In a statement released by the ministry on Saturday, the Israeli army completely destroyed 814 of Gaza's 1,245 mosques and severely damaged 148.

It also said mosques as well as three churches were destroyed and 19 out of 60 cemeteries were deliberately targeted.

According to Gaza's Ministry of Religious Affairs, the estimated monetary value of the damaged property is $350 million.

The ministry alleged that the Israeli army desecrated the graves, exhumed the bodies and inflicted brutal violence on the victims. Even their remains were stolen and cremated.

The Ministry of Religion said that along with the destruction of the mosque, 11 administrative and educational institutions under it were destroyed. which essentially represent 79 percent of Gaza's religious structures.

The ministry also said Israeli forces killed 238 of its employees and detained 19.

In addition, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Gaza called on the international community, world leaders and Islamic organizations to intervene urgently for the attack on religious places in Gaza.

Israel started attacking Gaza after the Hamas attack on October 7. However, the UN Security Council passed a resolution for an immediate ceasefire. Despite this, Israel's barbaric attacks on besieged Gaza continue.

According to local health authorities, nearly 42,000 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 100,000 injured in the nearly year-long invasion. Most of them are women and children.

The Israeli offensive has displaced almost the entire population of Gaza, and the ongoing siege has created acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine.
