Due to heavy rains, waterlogging has occurred in several areas of Kurigram City District Commissioner's office premises, Fire Service premises, Tapu Velakopa, Char Harikesh, Taltala and Roumaripara. Various crops, including aman and vegetables in the low-lying areas, have been submerged. Many unpaved roads in rural areas have been submerged due to heavy rains. Farmers are worried about the cultivation of Aman due to the subsidence of paddy fields in beel and low areas.
