Jumbangla Desk: A 23-day travel ban has been issued in the three hill districts of Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari.
It has been confirmed about this ban from an instruction issued by the concerned three district administrations on Sunday (October 6) afternoon.
According to the instructions, this ban will remain in force from October 8 to October 31.
However, the reason for this travel ban is not fully clarified. However, according to several sources, the situation is prevailing in Rangamati and Khagrachari of Chittagong Hill Tracts due to recent organized violence. In the current situation, the decision has been taken considering the safety of tourists visiting Chittagong Hill Tracts.
Deputy Commissioner of Rangamati Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan said, considering the overall situation, these instructions have been issued in the case of three hill districts. Moreover, the district administration has discouraged travel to Sajek Valley indefinitely.
DC of Bandarban said that tourists have been requested to refrain from traveling to Bandarban hill district from October 8 to 31 due to unavoidable reasons.

District Commissioner of Khagrachari. Sahiduzzaman said that several major unpleasant incidents have happened in Khagrachari recently. Considering the situation, it has been decided to discourage tourists from visiting Khagrachari tourist centers till October 31.
