Lt. Col. Munim Ferdous, director of the force's law and media wing, claimed that RAB members never used lethal weapons during the anti-discrimination student movement.

He said this in response to a question from journalists at a press conference organized at RAB's media center in the capital's Karwan Bazar on Sunday afternoon.

'A member of RAB on the students-crowd Lethal Weapon (lethal weapon), you may understand, there are some categories of weapons such as Lethal, Non-Lethal, Less Lethal. Never used. '

He also said that we were with the movement of the students, we are with it and we are doing everything to make this coup a success.

The director of the force's law and media wing also said that no member of the RAB had escaped after August 5.

He said, 44 percent of our 10,000 members are police (from the force), but none of our members have run away, and none of them have gone on strike. As we were together from the beginning, we were together till the end.
