2 lakh 32 thousand Indian eggs entered Bangladesh at the rate of 7 taka per piece

For the second time, a shipment of eggs was imported through the port. Earlier, on September 9, 2 lakh 31 thousand eggs were imported through this port.

According to customs sources, an Indian truck with 1 thousand 104 boxes of eggs entered Bangladesh. Each box contains 210 eggs. The price of these eggs is 9 thousand 969 US dollars. The import price of each dozen eggs is zero and 43 dollars, the price of each egg in Bangladeshi taka is 5 taka 16 paisa. Paying 33 per cent government revenue on the invoice value of every dozen eggs and totaling Rs 1 84 paise. The total price of each egg is 7 rupees.


Dhaka's importing company Hydro Land Solutions has imported these 2 lakh 31 thousand 840 eggs from India. Sri Lakshmi Narayan Bhandar of Kolkata is the exporter of eggs. C&F agent Ratul International filed the necessary documents at the customs house for the release of the consignment of eggs on behalf of the importer.

Vinay Krishna, the official of Benapole Livestock Department, said, "The imported eggs have been tested whether they are suitable for consumption or not. The results were positive. Received the import documents of the importer. Arrangements are being made for speedy release of the egg consignment.'


Rabindra Singh, deputy commissioner of Benapole Customs House, said the consignment of eggs has been kept at the transshipment yard of Benapole port. The consignment of eggs shall be allowed to be redeemed as soon as possible by collection of revenue.

He also said that this instruction has been given to the customs officers of the transshipment yard of the port at the field level.-UNB
