A man named Shafiqur Rahman threatened daily Yugantar's Vatara correspondent Nazmul Haque and senior journalist Ilyas Ahmed not to publish Gulshan Thana BNP news without consultation. Shafiqur Rahman introduced himself as the BNP president of Gulshan police station. 3 others who were with him introduced themselves as the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement of their respective districts.

On September 16, Nazmul made a call to Haque's Whites number +91 90384 65723 and identified himself as BNP president of Gulshan police station. Later, at around 2 pm, Shafiqur Rahman along with 3 other people came near the house of Yugantar Bhatara representative Nazmul Haque near Shahjadpur Primary School and called Nazmul Haque's white app number and asked to meet. When they went there, they introduced themselves as Badal, the coordinator of Badda's anti-discrimination student movement, and Shafiqur Rahman, the BNP president of Gulshan police station. Later, they mentioned the name of Nazmul Haque and his superior senior journalist Ilyas Ahmed and told them not to publish any news of big institutions of Gulshan without their advice.

If the news is published without consultation, the Awami League will be forced to resign by holding a sit-in program with the students of the anti-discrimination student movement in front of the office, alleging the involvement of Awami League politics and the corruption of the former government.

When contacted Wasim Akram, General Secretary of Gulshan Thana BNP last committee (temporarily dissolved committee) about this, he told Jugantar that Sharif Uddin Mamun is the convener of Gulshan Thana BNP Convener Committee. They have no leader or worker in Gulshan police station named Shafiqur Rahman. Later, when he showed the picture of Sharif Uddin, there was no similarity between him and the alleged president Shafiqur Rahman. He also said that we are getting news of fake identity in different places.

When we contacted former student of Jahangirnagar University, Monir Zaman, coordinator of Badda-Bhatara X Public University, he told Yugantar - We could not find out the identity of any coordinator named Badal Badal. We have received a complaint that another person at Badder Ali Mor has been similarly threatened with the identity of a BNP leader and anti-discrimination student movement. We are looking for them. If I get it, I will hand it over to law enforcement.
