Jumbangla Desk: Jatrabari Police Station OC Abul Hasan has been arrested in the case of killing Imam Hasan Taim, son of a police officer during the student-public movement.
On Monday (October 7) morning, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubur Rorahman granted the application to arrest him.
Earlier, on this day, the accused was produced in the court by the investigating agency DB Police and requested to arrest him. In view of this, the court granted the application to show the arrest.
With the permission of DMP, Teknaf police station of Cox's Bazar arrested Abul Hasan on September 16.
It is known that Taim went to Kajala area of Jatrabari with his two friends on July 20 during the student movement. When the protest started at that time, the police fired tearshells, sound grenades, rubber bullets and bullets. To survive, Taim and his two friends entered the tea store and pulled the shutters of the store. But as the bottom of the shutter was open, the police pulled them out. Later, when Taim ran, OC (Investigation) of Jatrabari police station Zakir Hossain shot him and he died on the spot.
Fraud allegations against Riya
In this incident, Taim's mother filed a case in court on August 20. In the case, the then Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Wari Division Mohammad Iqbal Hussains, ADC Wari Division Shakeel Mohammad Shamim, AC Tanzil Ahmed, Jatrabari Police Station OC (Investigation) Zakir Hossain and SI Shahadat Ali named some unnamed persons as accused.
