On October 7, 2019, Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) student Abrar Fahad was victimized by BCL terrorists. Jahangirnagar University student Sheikh Jisan Ahmed took the initiative to make a short film to tell the world the story of his brutal murder. The teaser of the short film was released on the fifth death anniversary of Abrar.
About hundred students acted in this short film called 'Room Number 2011'. The teaser was released on a YouTube channel called Jisoo Entertainment on Monday (October 7).
Earlier, Jisoo Entertainment's page informed about the movie. Simultaneously a poster was published on that page. The caption with the poster reads, Coming.. 'Room Number 2011'. Our first original work based on true events. It will be released in Bangladesh and America at the same time. Thank you from the page to 'Ektaful'. However, the poster does not mention Abrar Fahad.
Incidentally, a group of Chhatra League leaders and activists beat Abrar Fahad to death in Sher-e-Bangla Hall of BUET for protesting against Indian aggression. The students of BUET became angry after this murder. In view of the demand, student politics was banned in the university.
After Abra's murder, the killers were punished in the lower court in the face of nationwide protests, but the appeal to the high court has not yet been resolved. Shahid Abrar's family demanded that the convicts be sentenced quickly after the trial.
