Members of all law and order forces including army, BGB, police, RAB are active to maintain law and order during the celebration of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of Sanatan religions.
28- BGB Sylhet Sector Commander Col. Mohammad Saiful Islam Chowdhury said these things in the public awareness exchange meeting at Rajargaon Shree Advait Janmdham Puja Mandap, the responsible area of Laurgarh BOP, Sunamganj, Tahirpur, on Saturday afternoon.
He said, in order to celebrate puja in a harmonious atmosphere in all the puja mandaps within 8 km of the border, he appealed to maintain law and order, overall security, to prevent the destructive activities of miscreants, and to maintain communal harmony.
The BGB sector commander said that the BGB patrol team can reach the mandap within 15 minutes by making a call on the mobile phone to prevent any untoward incident in any puja mandap in the BGB area. For this reason, BGB manpower has been increased in each BOP. Apart from BOP, beige camp has been created.
