Zoom-Bangla Desk: In order to maintain a fair environment for education and research, the university administration announced a ban on all kinds of political activities on the campus of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (Shekribi) on September 5. However, ignoring the instructions of the administration, Chhatra Dal organized a program under the banner of the organization in the university. The Shekribi Chhatra Dal held a silent march and memorial meeting on Monday as part of the central program on the occasion of the fifth death anniversary of BUET student Abrar Fahad. Shekribi Chhatra Dal President Tapas, General Secretary Alamgir Kabir and other leaders and activists participated in this program in front of the administrative building of the university.

Ordinary students reacted angrily to such a program of the Chhatra Dal in the apolitical campus. Tauhid Ahmed Ashiq, the coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, said that one of the 9 points of their movement was to free the campus from lewd student politics. There, using the death anniversary of Shaheed Abrar, those who are trying to start apolitical politics inside the university should be brought under accountability. Those who break campus rules should be held administratively accountable.

Alamgir Kabir, general secretary of Chhatra Dal, said that politics is the basic right of people. Whether or not he stopped politics in the campus is his personal matter. There were many ordinary students in our program. We have not taken anyone by force, from the examination hall or from the hall. Students participated here spontaneously on their own initiative. Regarding whether student politics will continue in the campus or not, he said, we want everyone to have the opportunity to do politics with free thinking, in a beautiful environment, without weapons and extortion.

Many students of the university have complained that the Chhatra Dal has managed to organize such an organization with the advice and verbal permission of the pro-BNP teachers' organization (Sada Dal) in the university. However, the general secretary of the white party denied this accusation. Rashedul Islam said, they did not take any direct or indirect support from us in organizing the event. I personally did not know about it.

Prof. Abul Bashar, the proctor of the university, said that the permission of the administration was not taken for the program. I am trying to know on what basis they have organized the program in the non-political campus.
