Jumbangla Desk: The chief advisor of the interim government on social media Facebook. Jhalkathi Sadar Upazila Parishad's confidential assistant (CA) Sheikh Moniruzzaman has been temporarily suspended for violating government service rules for making adverse comments about Muhammad Yunus.

"I took an oath in Bangabhaban without going to jail" given to a national daily by the chief advisor Dr. Upazila Parishad (CA) SM Moniruzzaman made adverse comments on the online version of Muhammad Yunus interview. In the comments, Monir mentioned, "Earlier there was a possibility of going to jail, now death is certain (if living in Bangladesh)".

When the matter came to the attention of Deputy Commissioner Ashrafur Rahman, he ordered the upazila executive officer to temporarily suspend CA Moniruzaman. After this, in the evening, Moniruzzaman was issued a temporary dismissal order from the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.

Jhalkathi Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Farhana Yasmin confirmed the dismissal. Moniruzzaman was working as a confidential assistant (CA) to the chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad. It is known that he served as (former) publicity secretary of Jhalkathi District Chhatra League.
