Bangladeshi killed in BSF firing in Comilla, the family did not recover the body

Jumbangla Desk: A Bangladeshi was killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Sadar Dakshin Upazila of Comilla.

Jumbangla Desk: A Bangladeshi was killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Sadar Dakshin Upazila of Comilla.

The incident took place on Monday evening near Jashpur BOP of Paharpur village in Goliara North Union of Upazila.


The deceased Kamal Hossain is the son of Idu Mia of Kuriapara village of Sadar Dakshin Upazila.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 10 Battalion Comilla Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Iftekhar Hossain confirmed the truth of this information.


He said, 'When the young man named Kamal Hossain went inside India, the BSF members fired at him. He died on the spot. Later BSF personnel took the body in an ambulance. We have spoken to BSS about bringing back the body of the youth. We are scheduled to hand over his body through a flag meeting on Tuesday around 1 pm.'


When asked about this, Sadar South Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rafiqul Islamer said, "We are not aware of this yet."
