The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah said its fighters had fired a large number of missiles at several installations in occupied Palestine, including the Israeli capital Tel Aviv.

Iran's state news agency IRNA reported that Hezbollah's missile attack on Monday night forced Israeli authorities to sound sirens in Tel Aviv, the Galilee and surrounding areas. Sirens were also heard in the northern areas of Maskaf and al-Mutla in occupied Palestine.

The Israeli military and the country's media confirmed the missile attack. The Israeli military claimed to have intercepted five missiles fired over Tel Aviv and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Hezbollah said in a statement on Monday night that it had destroyed the 8,200-unit Galilot military intelligence base of the Israeli army on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. Their attack was carried out in continuation of 'Operation Khyber', which was carried out in support of the struggling Palestinian people and brave resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah also stated that it is committed to the defense of Lebanon and the protection of its oppressed people and is always ready to fight against the oppression and aggression of the occupying Israeli enemy.

Prior to this attack, Hezbollah also launched rocket attacks on Haifa, Akar and Nahariya on Monday evening.

Israeli media reported that more than 60 rockets hit the occupied territories in just one and a half hours in the evening and sirens were heard in the settlement of Kiryat Shemona.

According to Hezbollah's statement, they fired several rockets at Israeli soldiers stationed at the Beit Hillel military base. Source: IRNA
