When the news of Sheikh Hasina's departure from India is being discussed in the country, her son Sajib Wazed Joy opened up about the matter.

Talking to the media on Monday (October 7) night, Sajib Wazed said, 'The news that my mother has left India is not correct. He is still staying in India.'

Earlier, Sajib Wazed Joy said, 'There is no pressure on former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to leave India.'

Sajib Wazed Joy spoke to Times magazine on October 3 about Sheikh Hasina's participation in the National Assembly elections. Regarding Sheikh Hasina's participation in the national elections, he said that no decision has been taken yet on whether her mother will contest the elections.

"I never had any political ambitions," said Joy, who said she had not made any decision about her participation in the elections. But who knows the current situation? I haven't decided yet.

Sheikh Hasina left for India with her younger sister Sheikh Rehana after she was ousted by the student movement on August 5. They landed at the Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad near Delhi in a Bangladeshi military aircraft. Since then, their whereabouts are unknown.
