Bodhan is one of the rituals of Durga Puja. The word bodhana means awakened or enlightened. According to the Loknath Panjika, Sharadiya Durgotsavam will conclude with idol immersion on October 9 Mahasashti, October 10 Mahasaptami, October 11 Mahashtami and October 12 Mahanavami and October 13 Vijaya Dashami.

A security zone has been built around each mandap. Besides, it has been decided to deploy members of police, BGB, Ansar and VDP, RAB and other forces for round-the-clock security during puja in each mandap. The concerned said that the security forces have been ordered to be on maximum alert from the top level of the law and order forces.

The intelligence surveillance of the law enforcement agencies in plain clothes is going on at the field level regarding the overall situation. Prevention of any rumor is being monitored in cyber space as well. However, SWAT, Bomb Disposal Unit, RAB helicopters and striking force will be ready all the time to deal with any situation. Entrances to important temples will be searched through archways and metal detectors. If necessary, the dog squad unit will sweep the entire area.

On the occasion of Durga Puja, members of the police, Ansar, BGB, RAB and other law enforcement agencies will be responsible for the security of every pujamandap across the country including the capital Dhaka. Along with police and RAB, volunteers will be on duty at almost every pavilion. A central control room will be opened at Dhakeshwari Temple Melangan under the initiative of Mahanagara Sarvajanin Puja Committee.

Devotional music, distribution of clothes, distribution of Mahaprasad, aarti competition, voluntary blood donation and Vijaya procession will be held along with worship at the Dhakeswari National Temple Mandap, known as the central puja festival in the capital.
