Bangladesh Navy has released recruitment notification for A-2025 batch of Sailors and MODC (Navy) admissions. According to the notification, the Navy will recruit 460 manpower in the posts of DE or UC (Seaman, Communication and Technical), Medical, Patrolman, Writer, Store, Muse, MODC (Navy), Cook, Steward and Topas. Application started from September 11. Interested candidates can apply online.

1. Post Name: DE/UC (Seaman, Communication & Technical)

Number of posts: 329.

Educational Qualification: Minimum SSC (Science)/Madrasa (Science)/Vocational, GPA 3.50 and above. Preference will be given to candidates with superior Mathematics in SSC examination and minimum 'A' grade from BN Dockyard Cooperative Society Technical Institute.

Physical fitness

Candidate height should be at least 5 feet 6 inches for Seaman and MODC (Navy) posts, 5 feet 8 inches for Patrolman posts and 5 feet 4 inches for other posts. In addition to height for each post applicant's chest size should be 30 to 32 inches in normal condition and 2 inches more in expanded condition. Weight should be according to height and age and eye sight should be 6/6.

Other Qualifications

Interested candidates should be Bangladeshi male citizen and unmarried. Apart from this, the candidate must know swimming. Age should be between 17-20 years as on 1st January 2025 for seafarer post. Age 17 to 22 years for MODC (Navy) post.

According to the laws prevailing in Bangladesh or any other country, no one can apply if he has been arrested, convicted, imprisoned, detained or accused in any case and is under trial in the court. Apart from this, those who have been removed or expelled from the armed forces or government service and have dual citizenship cannot apply.

Application Process

Interested candidates need to check pre-eligibility first by visiting this website (www.joinnavy.navy.mil.bd) and clicking on Sailor/Apply Now option. After verification click on apply now option. Then the candidate has to deposit the exam fee through banking or mobile banking. 200 should be deposited through credit or debit card of any bank and mobile banking (Bikash, Cash, Rocket, Tap, OK Wallet) etc. After depositing the money, fill the online application form with correct information. After verifying the information click on the 'Submit' button and download and print the 'Sailor 1' form. The form should be brought with you on the day of examination.

Selection process

Online applicants have to appear at the designated center for their district with all the certificates, necessary documents and application forms. If all the documents of the candidate are found correct then he will be selected first. Initially selected candidates will be given written test on English, Bengali, Mathematics, Science and General Knowledge and Intelligence subjects. Candidates who pass these tests will undergo final health test and oral test. After the completion of the examination process of the candidates of all the districts, the final result according to the merit order will be informed to the candidates through online, national daily newspaper and mobile SMS.

Salary and allowances will be given as per Armed Forces pay scale along with other benefits as determined by the Government. Free clothing, lodging, food and medical facilities, family ration facility, pension and gratuity on retirement, promotion to Non-Commissioned Officer, Junior Commissioned Officer and Commissioned Officer on special merit basis.
