The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the names of this year's Nobel laureates in physics from Stockholm, Sweden, on Tuesday (October 8) at 3:45 pm Bangladesh time.

Hopfield and Hinton's research is instrumental in the development of machine learning and AI (artificial intelligence).

These two Nobel-winning scientists will receive a Nobel medal each, a certificate and one crore 10 lakh Swedish krona or about 12 crore 80 lakhs in Bangladeshi currency. The prize money will be split equally between the two Nobel laureates.


Meanwhile, according to the information on the Nobel Prize website, the names of the Nobel winners will be announced on October 9 in Chemistry, October 10 in Literature, and October 11 in Peace.

In addition, the Nobel Prize announcement will officially end on October 14 with the announcement of the winner in economics.

This year's Nobel Prize season begins with the announcement of Nobel Prize winners in medicine on Monday (October 7). Two Americans, Victor Ambrose and Gary Ruvkun, received treatment this year.
