Seven workers were reportedly killed in an explosion at a coal mine in Vadulia, Birbhum, India. The identity of the deceased is not yet known. Many workers were also injured.

Although the people concerned did not say anything about how this explosion happened, initially it is believed that this accident happened when blasting was done during coal mining. Meanwhile, after the explosion in the coal mine of Gangaramchak Mining Private Limited (GMPL), the upper level officials fled.

After the blast, the police rushed to the spot and sent the injured to the hospital. They are also investigating if anyone is stuck in the mine. The MLA of the area and officials in charge of administration also went to the spot. There is also tension in the area over this explosion.

Coal mine workers said about the explosion, they came to work in the morning like every day. Then they heard a loud explosion.

Locals said that explosives are usually brought in two trucks. But on this day explosives were brought in only one truck. It is being investigated whether this explosion happened because of him.

It is to be noted that in 2023 some people got trapped in the coal mine while doing illegal mining in Kulti. That mine belonged to Bharat Coking Coal Limited. Coal was being extracted illegally from there.
