Bangladesh's ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who came to Delhi under dramatic circumstances two months ago, is reportedly still staying in India.

Top Indian government officials have dismissed such reports as 'completely baseless' that he has left Delhi for a Middle Eastern country.

BBC Bengal's correspondent from Delhi says he has spoken to multiple sources in India's foreign and home ministries about the matter in the past 48 hours - and each confirmed that 'Sheikh Hasina is here this week as she was last week!'

India has never officially said where exactly he is in Delhi – but that 'location' has not changed at all in the past few days.

A senior source in Delhi's South Block also told the BBC, 'Whatever the circumstances, Sheikh Hasina is India's honored guest at this point. If he goes to a third country later, there is no reason for us to hide it!'

As a result, Sheikh Hasina has secretly moved to a country like the United Arab Emirates, they are advising to ignore these 'news'.
