Sub-inspector Rahman Khan Pathan, the investigating officer of the case, said that Umme Fatema Nazma Begum alias Shiuli Azad was arrested by the DB from Nikunj area of ​​the capital on Sunday evening. There is a murder case against him. Handed over to us after arrest. When the court applied for a 10-day remand to interrogate him, they granted 8 days.

According to the court sources, clashes took place in Brahmanbaria on March 26, 27 and 28, 2021, centered on the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bangladesh. On March 28, an autorickshaw driver named Liton Mia was shot dead near Hotel Lal Shaluq on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. The deceased is the son of Mozam Mia of Katanisar village of Liton upazila.

The family members complained that the murder case was taken to the police station at that time but it was not accepted. In this incident, a man named Sultan Uddin of Rasulpur village of Sarail has filed a murder case on the charge of killing autorickshaw driver Liton on September 3.


Former Housing and Public Works Minister Ram Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury, Tarikat Federation Chairman Chittagong-2 Constituency Ex-MP Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari, Brahmanbaria-2 Constituency Ex-MP Ziaul Haque Mridha, Reserved Constituency MP Umme Fatema Najma Begum (Shiuli Azad), Upazila Awami League 67 people including general secretary Nazmul Hossain have been accused in the case.
