Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mainul Hasan said there will be pujamandap at 253 places in the capital this year. He also said that there is no fear of sabotage around Durga Puja.

He said these things after visiting the Puja Mandap at Dhakeshwari Temple in the capital on Tuesday (October 8) afternoon.

DMP Commissioner said that Durga Puja has been organized in 253 mandaps in Dhaka city this year. Various levels of security measures have been put in place to celebrate the festival till Vijayadashami.

The members of different units of DMP rehearsed the special operations of the police at this time to deal with any accident. Mainul Hasan mentioned that 15 places in the city have been designated for devoting the goddess.

The DMP Commissioner called for the completion of the process of deva bathing by seven in the evening, stating that the use of all kinds of drugs is prohibited.

At that time, in response to a question, the Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police said that legal action would be taken regarding the policemen who were killed in the violence of the students' movement. He said, the morale of the police has already started to return.
