A BNP leader named Ahidul Islam Chowdhury has filed a case against two former MPs of Chittagong-4 Sitakunda constituency, one UP chairman and specific 53 leaders and activists of Awami League and affiliated organizations and 80 anonymous people. The case was registered at Sitakunda Model Police Station on Saturday night.

According to the case sources, the house of Ahidul Islam Chowdhury Sharif, president of Chittagong North District Zia Parishad, former president of Sitakunda Baraiadhala Union BNP, chairman candidate in UP elections, was attacked 6 times from August 28, 2013 to July 12, 2022, including vandalism and death threats. .

Alleging that these incidents took place on the orders of former MP SM Al Mamun and former MP Didarul Alam of Chittagong-4 Constituency, Sharif said that he did not get any chance to file a case as he had left the area fearing the influential people. Now he came to the police station and filed a case seeking redressal of the torture committed on him. In this, former MP SM Al Mamun and ex-MP Didarul Alam were accused as accused No. 2, general secretary of Baraiadhala Union Awami League Saidul Islam as accused No. 3, UP chairman of Baraiadhala Rehan Uddin as accused No. 4, specific 53 Awami League leaders and activists and 80 unidentified people were accused.

Ahidul Islam Chowdhury, the plaintiff in the case, told Daily Jugantar that from 2013 to 2022, I was attacked and my house vandalized five times with intent to kill. So far I could not file a case due to insecurity. I filed the case in the hope of justice due to political change.

Confirming the truth of the case, Mojibur Rahman told Daily Yugantar that in a case filed by Ahidul Islam Chowdhury of Baroiardhala Union, 53 named people and 70-80 unknown people, including two former members of parliament of Chittagong-4 Sitakunda Constituency, have been accused. No accused has been arrested yet. An operation will be conducted to arrest the accused.
