Omar bin Laden, the son of the late head of al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, has been ordered to leave France by the country's interior ministry. This order has been given to him due to a comment made on social media.

On Tuesday, France's new interior minister, Bruno Retailleau, said on social media X (formerly Twitter) that Omar bin Laden lived in the Orney department of the Normandy region as the husband of a British citizen. The al-Qaeda leader's son posted a social media post last year advocating terrorism. In view of this, he was ordered to leave France by the administrative head of Oron.

The interior minister also said that Omar had signed an order 'not to return to France under any circumstances'. But he did not say anything more in detail.

It is not yet clear whether Omar bin Laden has already left France.

43-year-old Omar Bin Laden was born in Saudi Arabia. He spent his childhood there. After that he was in Sudan and Afghanistan. He left his father Osama bin Laden at the age of 19. He started living in the Normandy region of Northern France from 2016 to paint.
