Successful application of AI or artificial intelligence has been completed in China's satellites. A Chinese AI satellite internet technology company named ADA Space reported this information on Sunday.

The company said in a statement that a satellite it sent into orbit has successfully completed the validation of large-scale artificial intelligence technology in in-orbit operations. This information emerged in the Xinhua report on Monday.

According to reports, the satellite was launched on September 24 on a Smart Dragon-3 carrier rocket from a floating platform near Haiyang city in east China's Shandong province. From September 25 to October 5, the satellite conducted 13 tests of its AI Large model. These satellites automatically make decisions based on varying conditions and temperatures.

The mission also tested the in-orbit AI-capable satellite's adaptability in space, the reliability of the computing satellite platform and the computing power of the hyperperformance payload during operations in space, ADA said.

In the next step, the satellite will conduct AI data processing on the three-dimensional remote sensing data in orbit. ADA also said that the data obtained in such AI three-dimensional imaging will later be useful for digital applications in various sectors including low-altitude sky-economy, culture, tourism and sports.
