An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday remanded a suspected RAW agent to police custody for two days on charges of possession of illegal arms and explosives.

Several illegal weapons, a hand grenade, a bomb, a launcher and a pistol were recovered from Salim during the arrest, the investigating agency said.

According to the report of the Pakistani media Dawn, the suspect Muhammad Salim was arrested by Pakistan's Special Investigation Unit (SIU) on suspicion of being an agent of 'RA' from Manipur area of ​​Pakistan.

The SIU said illegal arms and explosives were found in Salim's possession. Besides, the investigation unit recovered several confidential documents from the house of Selim.

On Tuesday, the Investigating Officer (IO) of the case sought a 14-day remand of the suspect for further questioning. Later, the court granted a two-day remand. After remand, a detailed investigation report has been directed to be submitted.

The suspect has multiple national passports and national identity cards. The suspected agent of 'R' has used multiple names and identities in these personal documents. He entered India several times through Nepal with different identity cards and passports.
