Jumbangla Desk: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh has strongly protested the killing of Kamal Hossain, a resident of Sadar Dakshin Upazila of Comilla on the border by BSF.

In a note sent to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Wednesday (October 9), the government has expressed deep concern over the incident.

It said such incidents by the BSF are recurring despite repeated promises by concerned Indian authorities to bring down border killings to 'zero levels'.

The Bangladesh government insists that such incidents of border killings are unwanted and uncalled for.

Such activities violate the provisions of the India-Bangladesh Joint Guidelines for Border Authorities, 1975.
The Government of Bangladesh urges the Government of India to stop the repetition of such heinous acts and investigate all border killings as well as identify and bring to justice those responsible.
