Because of which, the supply of hilsa has decreased in Chandpur Barstation Machghat, one of the largest hilsa retail and wholesale market in the country for a few days. Previously, 500 to 700 maunds of hilsa were supplied daily to Machghat, but currently the supply of hilsa is less than 100 maunds. Due to which the price of hilsa increased by 500 to 600 taka per kg.

At present, one kilogram of hilsa is being sold at Tk 2400 to Tk 2500 in Chandpur station Machghat. Which was 1700 to 1800 taka a week ago. Apart from this, the price of hilsa weighing more than 1kg is selling from Tk 2800 to Tk 3000. Buyers are angry after hearing the fire price of hilsa.

Hilsa buyer Iqbal said, I have never seen such a price of hilsa at Machghat in Chandpur. I myself also buy to sell online but now the context is different. Hilsa is not possible at such a price.

Hilsa trader Kamal Hossain said that the supply of hilsa in Machghat has decreased a lot. There is no hilsa according to demand. Due to which the price is high. A kg increased from 500 to 600 taka. I have been doing business for a long time. At this time there are supposed to be many buyers but due to the price there are no buyers.
