He said, the Dom people have been deprived for a long time. We will listen to you, we want to work for you. The government is responsible for the overall security of the Dom population.

He made this comment at a meeting organized by Ekta Dom Samaj Jubo Puja Committee on the occasion of Durga Puja at Postgola Crematorium Ghat in Sutrapur of the capital on Thursday (October 10).

The adviser said, there are people of various religions and castes in our country. We are dreaming of making Bangladesh without discrimination by ensuring the rights of all. In the last 50 years, many differences, discriminations, deprivations have been created among us. We want to remove all discrimination, deprivation and differences in the coming days and build Bangladesh with equal status where everyone will have civil rights. At the end of the day the country belongs to all of us, we will live together in this country. Therefore, it is our duty to see the advantages and disadvantages of our neighboring communities.

At this time, the adviser greeted the people of the present Dom community by wishing the people of the Dom community and all the orthodox religions of the country a happy autumn Durga Puja. Local leaders of the Dom community were present at the meeting.
