Jumbangla Desk: Uncle-nephew died after the boat sank on their way to worship at Kalmakanda in Netrakona.

Death of nieces and nephews

This incident happened on Friday (October 11) morning.

The deceased are Amit Talukder (7), son of Biplab Talukder of Harindhara village, third class student, Ritu Talukder (17), daughter of Sanjay Talukder of the same village. Cousin-nephew about the deceased.

Locals said that the two children died when the boat sank while they were going from Purbapara of Harindhara village of the upazila to see Paschimpara puja.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalmakanda police station. Feroz Alam told the media that the tragic accident happened when the boat sank on the way to see the puja. The locals rescued them and took them to the hospital where the doctors declared them dead.
