Jumbangla Desk: In Tangail, the regular activities of the mosque and temple have been going on in the same courtyard for about 54 years. Everyone's religion is working. The Durga Puja ceremony is going on in the temple next to the mosque. On the other hand, all worship activities are closed during Azan and Namaz in the mosque.

It is known that the temple was established 90 years ago at Chowdhury house in Nagarpur Sadre in Tangail. After that the Muslims here built Nagarpur Central Jame Masjid. From there, the religious festivals of the two religions are going on side by side.

On the surface, there is a walled pujamandap in Nagarpur Sadar and the central mosque next to it. In the temple, the music of puja dhani and dhaka is going on. Pujas and devotees go to see the idol and participate in the puja. All worship activities stopped before the start of Azan in the mosque at noon. At such times, it is informed that after the Azaan and Namaz, all the puja activities will continue in the temple with microphones and drums. After that, the sound of Azan came from the mosque and immediately after that the worshipers started coming to the mosque. The prayer began. Some time after the end of the prayer, the bells of the temple rang again with the drum. The worship program begins.

The worshipers and worshipers said that the people here are peace-loving and there has never been any disorder. People of the two religions have many similarities. All conduct their own religious activities in mosques and temples. No one has ever had any problems with it. We hope this bond will remain unbroken for ages.

Samidi Saha said, this temple is old from many years ago. Pujas are celebrated here. There is a mosque next to it, Muslims and Hindus celebrate together, we like it very much. I have seen the puja here with my parents since childhood. I wait for a year to celebrate Durga Puja with everyone.

Ananya Saha said, the mosque is next to our temple, just as we make Muslims happy on Eid, Muslims also rejoice in our puja and we all celebrate puja together.

Liton Kumar Saha, president of Puja Mandir, said, "We don't have any kind of disorder here. We have been celebrating Puja with each other for almost 54 years. No one has to say anything during the Puja celebration. They are celebrating their religious festivals in their respective responsibilities.

Imam of the mosque. Abdul Latif said, I have been leading this mosque for a long time. Imamati is about 37 years old. At this age I found Chowdhurybari and temple in Nagarpur upazila enclosed by a wall in the same courtyard. Muslims here keep an eye on the temple at all times so that no one disturbs the worship.

Nagarpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Deep Bhowmik said, puja has been held here for about 54 years. A good relationship has developed between the people of Sanatan religion and the people of Muslim religion. There will be no chaos here. Also we will be on the ground from the beginning to the end of Nagarpur Administration Puja.

Tangail Superintendent of Police Saiful Islam Santu said, for 54 years in this Nagarpur, people of every religion have been maintaining their own religion in mosques and temples. The social bond that exists between the people of this area. This example of Nagarpur proves that Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. If this example can be spread all over the world, communal strife will be removed from the world.
