Jumbangla Desk: Popular Islamic negotiator Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari has left the country. Before leaving, he said in a message that he will return soon even if he does not stay in the country for a long time.

Mizanur Rahman Azhari

He gave a status about this on his verified Facebook page at around 11 o'clock on Friday (October 11).

Maulana Azhari returned to the country just as he had arrived without any pre-announced message. However, his fans were surprised by this. He said to them that he will return to the country after a few months.

It is known that Maulana Azhari came to the country on October 2. He returned to Malaysia after nine days. In the meantime, he has organized several close meet-up programs with scholars and well-wishers of different genres.

In the Facebook status given before leaving, he said that he came to the country for a short visit after five long years. Spent most of the time with family. In the meantime, I organized a close meet-up program with scholars and well-wishers of various genres.

Alhamdulillah, that day was really enjoyable. But due to organizing the program at short notice many dear brothers could not come. Again, due to a somewhat hasty invitation, many were inadvertently left out. Hopefully you will see the apology in a positive light. Looking forward to meeting everyone later.

He also wrote, I am going to Malaysia today. After a few months, I will return to the country again, inshallah. Then if everything is favorable including law and order, public safety, protocol, location selection, audience capacity, organizing capacity, maybe we can participate in a few programs at departmental level across the country. But everything will depend on the right environment and situation.

Highlighting some of his plans, Azhari wrote, I want to spread the light of the Quran in this land in a planned way. So I don't want to do Tafseer program in districts like before. Want to participate in some indoor programs, limiting outdoor programs. Apart from public events, I want to be involved in academic and institutional work. We need your help to realize these dreams. These projects will be announced soon inshallah. Keep two incomes.

After Azhari announced his move to Malaysia four years ago, he was widely discussed on social media. In a post on his Facebook page on February 6 of that year, he wrote, 'Due to some surrounding reasons, this year's Tafseer program has to end here. So, the rest of my programs till March are postponed. Going back to Malaysia again for research work. If Allah Rabbul Alamin gives a chance, we will meet and talk again, Inshallah.'

However, many believe that the incident of conversion of 12 Indian citizens at one of his mahfils in Lakshmipur in January 2020 created discussion. In Panpara village of Ramganj upazila of Lakshipur, a total of 12 members of the same family accepted Islam at the Azhari ceremony. This Hindu family came from India. Bangladesh police arrested 12 people and sent them back to India.
