International Desk: The Nobel Peace Prize will be announced today. The name of the award winner will be announced from Norway on Friday (October 11) at 3 pm Bangladesh time. Nobel Prizes in Literature, Medicine, Physics and Chemistry have already been announced.

This year, 286 candidates have registered for the Nobel Peace Prize, including 197 individuals and 89 organizations. These include the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and UN chief Antonio Guterres.

For this year's Nobel Peace Prize, Ukraine and the Middle East war, famine in Sudan, climate change crisis and many other issues have come to the fore.

The award announcement will be broadcast live on NobelPrize.org and the official digital channels of the Nobel Prize on Facebook, X, YouTube.

It should be noted that the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has been giving this award every year since 1901, 5 years after the death of Swedish scientist and inventor of dynamite, Alfred Nobel. The award is given in his name and legacy. The prize money is handed over to the winners every year on December 10, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death. Prize winners in each case receive a gold medal, a diploma with a certificate and currently 11 million Swedish kroner.
