A video related to this has gone viral on social media. Where the father announces that he forgives the son's killer. In this the murderer is spared from the sure death sentence and he does not have to pay the blood sacrifice. The father in the video is known locally as Mohammed Bin Shagah, Gulf News reported. He issued the pardon at a rally in the Besha governorate of Asir in southwestern Saudi Arabia. However, Gulf News did not publish the description of the killer and the victim.

He said, I have forgiven the killer only in the hope of getting the pleasure of Allah. I will not take a single riyal as blood money in return.

Islamic law is in effect in Saudi Arabia. In this law there is provision of killing for murder, eye for an eye. Which is called qisas. This is the Islamic principle. Punishment in this principle is appropriate retribution or compensation. Compensation is called diat. Dia law provides compensation for the heirs of the victim. In Arabic the word means both blood money and ransom.

In this country, the parents of the victim have the right to pardon the killer. In exchange he can take blood money. Can't take it again. It is up to him. If the guardian does not forgive, the murderer is sure to die.

'Tribhuj' tells the story of three class couples.

But many times in Saudi Arabia, the guardian forgives the criminal. Motivated by Allah's great virtue of forgiveness, they do so for His pleasure.
