Zoom-Bangla Desk: A man named Quddus Khan (55) who was bitten by a poisonous Russell's viper snake was admitted to a 250-bed hospital in Jessore. He came to the hospital with the snake that bit him. Later, the doctor identified the snake as Russell's Viper and administered anti-venom to Quddus.

The snake bit the person in Shyamkur village of Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah on Thursday evening.
Quddus, who was bitten by a snake, said that he was fishing in the Ichamati river near his house. At that time, the snake bit his left leg.
He said, 'I kill the snake with the fishing rod in my hand. In addition, tie your legs with the rope that is sitting next to the pot and return home. After contacting Maheshpur and Jeevannagar Upazila Health Complex, they said that they do not have any anti-venom for snake bites. Later I was admitted to Jessore Sadar Hospital around 3:30 pm . I was given anti-venom around four in the morning.'
Sajjadul Karim, doctor of medicine ward of 250-bed general hospital in Jessore, said that a person with a snake came to the hospital late at night. I saw the snake and identified it as Russell's viper. As such, he was given anti-venom. Even then, the affected area has developed lesions. We are monitoring.
