International Desk: Iran has warned six countries in the Middle East in a war situation with Israel. These six countries are – Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates.
Israel's ally, the United States, has military bases and troops in these six Gulf countries.
Iran has warned that Tehran will respond if these six countries allow their airspace or military bases to be used against Iran.
Reuters reported the information on Wednesday (October 9), citing an unnamed top official in the country.
The top Iranian official said it has been made clear that any move by any Persian Gulf country against Tehran, whether it allows the use of airspace or military bases, is unacceptable, the news agency reported. Tehran will consider this as a step taken by the entire bloc. And will respond accordingly.
The comments came amid growing Israeli concern over possible retaliation for Iran's missile strikes last week as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi traveled to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, among other Gulf states, for talks on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned Lebanon to reject Iran-backed armed group Hezbollah.
He asked the people of Lebanon to avoid destruction and suffering like Gaza. Netanyahu issued such a warning to the Lebanese on Tuesday.
In a video message to the people of Lebanon, Netanyahu said, 'Lebanon will fall into the abyss of a long war. Which will lead the country to devastation and suffering, as we are seeing in Gaza. But you have an opportunity to save Lebanon. This is what I can say to the people of Lebanon, free your country from Hezbollah. This may end the war. '
The warning came ahead of Israel's deployment of thousands more troops to advance an ongoing ground campaign against Hezbollah in new areas of southwestern Lebanon.
